Directed by: Priyadarshan
Cast: Sharukh Khan, Lara and Irfan Khan
The entire experience of making the film was exciting, strenuous and fun all at the same time.
This is the first time I am carrying a no makeup look. My sarees were dipped in tea and crumpled to make them look old and dirty, but perfect for my look.
Since my character could not afford proper footwear, director Priyadarshan insisted that I walk barefoot around the village to get in the character. It was tough, but that definitely helped.
Once a huge black snake got into my room and completely freaked me out. The villagers wanted to kill it but I managed to convince them to just throw the snake out of the window.
Another interesting incident was when during a solar eclipse Shah Rukh insisted on not shooting till the eclipse was over. 30 of us huddled in a tiny hut there for almost 2 hours!
One of the locations for a song was away from the village and the only way to get there was to walk. We walked through pot holes and muddy water but when we got there the sight was breath taking.
To lighten up the mood, I played a prank on Irfan who plays my husband in the film. We told him that there is an intimate song to be shot between Shah Rukh and me. Irfan was so deep in the character that he got upset with the though of his wife romancing with another guy.
Surprisingly all of us managed to pull off the prank till up to three days!
